I have been involved in chess activity in Terengganu since late 1980 either as a player or organiser,maybe some of you not even born yet.During that time we have up to four tournament per year and that including the Terengganu open which we normally organise in month of August.The first Terengganu open was held in 1988 at Pantai Batu Burok coinside with Pesta Pantai and they are three categories contested.The open section was won by Mustaffa Mohd and Lim Sin Leong won the novice section ,regretfuly I dont remember whose is the winner for under 12 section.In fact I lost all the records of most of our tournament held in Terengganu.But I managed to salvage some of the evidance of chess activities in form of pictures.Those picture are all taken during 1993 Terengganu Open which was held in front of ex Terengganu State Library at Jalan Sultan Ismail.

GRAND PRIX POINTS FOR PENCARIAN JAGUH CATUR TERENGGANU PLAYERS

After 3 series of Pencarian Jaguh Catur Terengganu Hashim Jusoh is leading other players with 233 grand prix points, already winning 1 series and finished with comfortable position in 2 series he almost sure for a place in the grand final.Hashim is closely followed by Norazmi Mohd Nor who have 202 points and Abdul Rahim Ramli with 185 points.

In under 18 category Khairul Nazrin Ahmad Nashir is leading other with 241 point, second place is Mohd Amirul Zahanuddin with 219 points.Third place is Ahmad Jalalullah Mohd.Lastly in under 12 category Mohd Huzaimi Abd Jalal on the top spot with 274 point , second place Mohd Aiman Azani 245 and third place is Siti Asiah Sabirin with 232 points.

The Grand final of Pencarian Jaguh Catur Terengganu will be play at Pusat Dagangan Terengganu on 18th to 22nd Disember 2008 , the event will be rated and total prize money offer is RM18,000.Only top 30 players from the 3 categories will be selected to play in the grand final.

PENCARIAN JAGUH CATUR TERENGGANU GRAND FINAL

Pencarian Jaguh Catur Terengganu Grand Final will be held on 18 t0 22rd of December at Terengganu Trade Center (TTC).This event will be rated and only FIDE rated players will be invited.Pusat Minda Terengganu currently organising 5 series of state level chess event , 3 series already held and two more will be organise in October and November. Only 30 selected players from 5 series who accumulated highest points will be invited to play in the grand final.Only players with FIDE rating will be accepted to play in the grand final.The tournament will offer total prize money of RM18,000.

Participants who are playing this series represents their districts in Terengganu.Pusat Minda Terengganu was established by former chief minister of Terengganu Dato Seri Haji Idris Jusoh and Dr Wan Shaari Wan Ismail is Chief Operation Officer.Pusat Minda Terengganu and State Government will definitely will boost quality and quantity Terengganu chess in general with its programs.

SUHAIDI MUSTAFFA DUNGUN OPEN CHAMPION

Local chess player of Dungun Suhaidi Mustaffa simply too good for others players to catch up in Dungun Open chess tournament which ended yesterday.He collected 6 points in a row and RM500 to become Dungun Open champion.Hashim Jusoh with 5.5 points finished second place and Pahang player Sulaiman Johari 5.5 points end up third place.Full results below.

HUSM OPEN RESULT

Kuantan base player Abdul Khalid Musa emerged champion in the HUSM open last week.He scored 5.5 points to grab 1st place followed by local player Nik Mohd Nazri Nik Hassan who also have indentitical score with Abd Khalid.Kelantan Maksak player Baharuddin Hamzah finished third with 5 points.Forty seven players took part in this open section.

In under 18 section Zulhashime Zulkifli easily scored 6 points to finish ahead of 92 players in this category.Second prize winner won by Muhd Alif Fitri Hanipa with 5.5 points.Third place goes to Ahmad Zulhilmi Sahadi.

Alif Omar Mohd Saufi scored 5.5 points in under 12 section to finished 1st and Laila Husna Sahadi with 5 points finished second.Third place won by Mohd Afham Haikal with 4.5 points.

This annual event was organise by HUSM medical students.

Abdul Kadir Jailani emerged champion in the 3rd series of Pencarian Jaguh Catur Terengganu which ended this afternoon.He scored 6 points from seven round including two drew with Ahmad Rizal Othman and Fairul Yusuf.Fairul Yusuf fineshed second with 5.5 points followed by Hashim Jusoh who also scored 5.5 points.

Ahmad Faez Azmi won the under 18 category with 6 points ( should play in open section only) second place won by Ahmad Jalalullah Mohammad and third place goes to Mohd Amirul Zahanuddin.Best girl goes to Siti Nor Raihan Mphd Saifuldin.

In under 12 Mohd Aiman Azani scored 6 points followed by Mohd Huzaimi Abdul Jalal with 5.5 points.Third place goes to Arif Farae Mohd Salim with 5.5 points.

NUR ILHAMUDDIN IN AMBANK CHESS CHALLANGE

Merdeka chess tournament is a must for every Malaysian chess players.This event initiated by Persatuan Catur Melayu Malaysia in early eighties.Terengganu players never misses this event for many years.Lately we didn't send a representative to this Malaysia premier due to work and family commitment.Anyway we have our very owned Nur Ilhamuddin Shaik Ali who is working in Kuala Lumpur and currently is playing in the AMbank Chess Challenge.

May be you don't know him well.I came to know him way back in 1987.He started to play chess in primary school and continue to play until now.He won many local tournament in Terengganu and I consider him as very strong among Terengganu top players.Ilhamuddin represent Terengganu in MSSM championship and merdeka team event for many years.He is active taking part in Kelang valley tournament.Recenly he achieved FIDE rating with 2059 thus making him the first Terengganu FIDE rated player

In this on going AMbank chess challenge at Midvalley ,Ilham currently have 2 points from four round losing to Bangladeshi and Indonesian players.Let us wish him good luck and success in this event.

A total of 64 players are currently taking part in 3rd Temerloh Open 2008.Majority of participant coming from Pahang and 4 players from Terengganu.Six fide rated players are also taking part in this event.After 3 rounds Abdullah Che Hassan is currently leading the tournament with 4 others players.There are still four more round to play tomorow and Temerloh member of parliment will give away prizes.

PENCARIAN JAGUH CATUR CONTINUES

Pencarian Jaguh Catur Terengganu will continue on 22nd to 23rd August 2008.As usual the tournament will be divided into 3 category open, under 18 and under 12.In the last two series Hashim and Norazmi were champion.This two players are the dominance players in Terengganu chess scenario for the last 10 years.Others players may find difficult to break in unless unexpected results happened.But chances for other players to finished in top five are there if they working hard to improve.

In under 18 section mostly top five winners are dominated by Terengganu representative in MSSM.Seems that gap between state junior players with non state players are wide.The state junior players performance in recent MSSM is very humble ,( except for few players) this what I always believed for long time juniors state players (under 18) only be allowed to play in open section.Without this kind of exposure they will improve.So let non state players play with each other in this section.

Next week will see wheater Md Huzaimi ( I think this boy should play in under 18) could recover from loses to Siti Aisyah in under 12 section.The fast improving Siti Aisyah and her sister Siti Khadijah are catching up with Huzaimi who dominated under 12 section for few years already.Huzaimi is not making any significant progress for the last one year.

Now Pusat Minda Terengganu under leaderships of Dato Saidi and Dr Wan Shaari is planning to have weekly coaching lesson for the selected players.Hopefully this moves will benefits the junior players.Lastly , guys get ready for third series on 22-23rd August , see you all there.

University Darul Iman lecturer Hashim Jusoh easily won the second series of Pencarian Jaguh Catur Terengganu with 6.5 points.Hashim effordlessly beat all of his six opponents and give 1 draw to Ahmad Rizal Othman.In the first series he could only finished fifth place.Second place goes to Abd Rahim Ramli with 5.5 points.Third prize won by Abd Latif Abdul Halim.Best lady player won by Najwah Aziz.

In under 18 which was won by Md Khairul Nazrin with 6.5 points,second place won Ahmad Shukri Ismail.Ahmad Jalalullah Md.In under 12 section talented Siti Aisyah Sabirin this category .She beat MSSM top ten under 12 winner Md Huzaimi who finish second.SitiKhadijah Sabirin finish third.Details of prize winner will be publish later.

KARNIVAL SUKAN PETRONAS PANTAI TIMUR

Petronas annual sport carnival will starts this Saturday at various venue in Kertih.Among event contested are ,football , badminton ,wood ball and others sports including chess.In chess six team will plays.The team who involved are Petchem,Gas Business,Gebeng Raiders,Expro and Oil business.Tournament format is team round robin.Last year Oil business won this event who have IM Mas Hafizul playing in the first board.The two days event will begin on Saturday 9th August.

PENCARIAN JAGUH CATUR SIRI 2

Today at Pusat Dagangan Terengganu will starts the second leg of Pencarian Jaguh Catur Terengganu,this event is organise by Pusat Minda Terengganu.More then 100 participant will taking part who represented every districts in Terengganu.This tournament is divided into three categories ,open, under 18 and under 12.In the open section Norazmi Mohd Nor , Hashim Jusoh ,Abdul Rahim Ramli is the contender for the title.There are also few others players who cannot be rule out such as Suhaimi Mustaffa ,Heng Aik Kiat ,Zailan Abas and Fairul.In under 18 Ahmad Faiz of Besut is expected to dominated this category, in the last serie he scored 7/7.while in under 12 Muhammad Huzaimi is expected to easiy win this categorie.

MAKSAK FULL RESULT

As expected Terengganu simply too strong for other team to handle,Terengganu accumulated 21 points from preliminary round and winner pool round.Kuala Lumpur who finished second could only massed up 15.5 round followed by Pahang who gained 15 points and former national champion Dr Ng Eee Vern playing for them.Determine Selangor players finished 4th place with 14.5 points.Chess event was introduce as one of the event in MAKSAK calendar in middle of nineties.Terengganu chess team started to take part in this event in 1997 when it became champion when the tournament was held in Kedah.Although some players complain about the playing schedule and format but mostly they are happy for the long round.Only Kedah and Melaka did not part.Next year Kelantan will host the event and Terengganu surely will defence the title quite easily.Congratulation Terengganu.

MAKSAK MALAYSIA : TERENGGANU TOO POWERFULL

Maksak Malaysia interstate chess championship just ended today at Dewan Seri Pinang.The participants of this event is only open to those working in the public services.15 teams took part in this annual event.Defending champion Terengganu well ahead of other team with 22 points ,followed by Kuala Lumpur Pahang and Selangor.More report later.

TERENGGANU EXPECTED TO RETAIN TITLE

Terengganu contigent to Maksak Malaysia chess tournament safely arrived at official hotel around 8.00 am today.The team consisting Abdul Rahim Ramli,Norazmi Mohd Nor ,Hisamullah Harun,Hashim Jusoh and Mohd Yusof Muda.Terengganu is expected to retain the title in this team event playing format.Terengganu is in the group A with Perak ,ATM,Selangor and PDRM.Terengganu will plays Perak at 4.00 pm today and expected to have an easy win follow by match with ATM another weak team in this group.In fourth round Terengganu will play experienced Selangor team who is expected to field up Mohd Hafez Hilmi (Terengganu born players ,my former PADAWAN).To wrap up the group match ,Terengganu will facing PDRM who have Ismail Ahmad in the first board).The the top winner in each group will play with each others to decided the tournament winner.In group B Kuala Lumpur is a clear favourite followed by Perlis and Kelantan.In group C Sarawak almost certain to finished first.Pahang is likely to finish second who have Dr Ng Ee Vern playing in the first board.This event is promise to have an exciting finishing.Last year Terengganu had unbeatable lead in the winners pool and secured 1st place with a round to spare.

PENCARIAN JAGUH CATUR TERENGGANU SIRI 2

Kejohanan Pencarian Jaguh Catur Terengganu Siri ke 2 akan diteruskan pada 25hb hingga 26hb Julai 2008 bertempat di Pusat Dangangan Terengganu.Penyertaan kejohanan dibahagikan kepada tiga kategori penyertaan iaitu terbuka bawah 18 tahun dan bawah 12 tahun.Juara siri pertama bagi kategori terbuka pada bulan lepas Norazmi Mohd dijangka akan mengambil bahagian dan dijangka akan menerima sanigan sengit dari pemain pemain utama Terengganu lain seperti Hashim Jusoh ,Hisamullah Harun dan Abd Rahim Ramli.Selain daripada itu beberapa pemain lain boleh memberikan kejutan seperti Gani Kadir ,Zailan Abas ,Heng Aik Kiat dan Alias Mohd Amin.Hadiah wang tunai berjumlah RM5,000 ditawarkan kepada 10 pemenang setiap kategori.Kepada semua pemain yang terlibat sila melapur diri sebelum jam 8.30 pagi pada hari Jumaat ini.

After disastrous failure in Kelantan Open Norazmi Mohd Nor continuenued his domination in Terengganu chess scene by easily winning the Terengganu Maksak chess tournament yesterday.He won his first five game before drew with Alias Mohd Amin.Second place won by Hisamullah Harun with five points losing a game to the eventual winner. Third place goes to Alias Mohd Amin.Top six winners will represent Terengganu in National Maksak Chess tournament in Penang on 1st to 3rd August in Penang.

Abdullah Che Hassan simply to good to other 49 participant in the Kelantan open which ended this evening.He easily stamp his authority in the first five games before conceded a draw with former Petronas player Azahari Mohd Nor in last round and walk away with a cool RM800.Abdullah record in the 30 minutes play is quite good base on his performances in local circuit this year.Muhammad Arshad finished clear second when he loses to eventual winner the Fourth round.Third Mohd Khair Wahidduddin who beat Fairul "Gambit" Yusof in the last round.Meanwhile in the under 15 category Ahmad Zulhilmi finished first followed by Laila Husna Sanadi and Wan Emilia Ellisya.

PENCARIAN JAGUH CATUR UPDATE

At Pusat Dagangan Terengganu 180 chess players from all over districts of Terengganu currently playing Pencarian Jaguh Catur.This is the first leg of five event organised by Pusat Minda Terengganu, the grand final on Disember and will be a FIDE rated event promised a hefty prize money of RM30,000.

After 4 round of play unseeded Gani Kadir is leading in the open section with four points followed by MAKSAK player Alias Mohd Amin.Both players will be playing tomorrow morning.Other players with 3.5 points are Abd Kadir Jailani and Hahim Jusoh.

Tomorrow promised to an exciting as top seed players will be fighting for the title.

PENDAFTARAN PENCARIAN JAGUH CATUR TERENGGANU

Minggu depan iaitu pada 13hb hingga 14hb Jun bertempat di Pusat Dangangan Terengganu bermulalah siri pertama daripada lima siri pertandingan untuk memilih pemain kepertandingan akhir yang akan diadakan pada pertengahan Disember 2008.Seramai 210 peserta dari seluruh daerah dijangka akan beratnding dalanm tiga kategori penyertaan iaitu terbuka ,bawah 18 tahun dan bawah 12 tahun.Setiap kategori akan diwakili 10 pemenang yang terpilih melalui kejohanan peringkat daerah yang telah diadakan pada bulan mac dahulu.Dikejohanan peringkat negeri ini saingan pastinya sengit dimana jaguh jaguh catur daerah akan bertanding untuk merebut hadiah wang tunai yang berjumlah RM5,000.Peserta favourite bagi kategori terbuka ialah Mohd Syazwan Zulkifli , Abdul Kadir Jailani disamping itu pemain berpengalaman Hashim Jusoh ,Norazmi Mohd Nor dan beberapa pemain lain.Semua peserta diminta untuk melapurkan diri jam 8.00 pagi pada hari kejohanan.

Going into the 8th round of Malaysian Closed Under 15 MSSM champion ,Edward Lee is currently leading the tournament with 6 points from 8 games.He is playing on the 1st board with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu graduate Guadis Goridau who is having 5.5 point.Guadis is expecting to have uphill battle in this roundPlaying on board two Johoroeans Mohd Kamal Abdullah and Leong Mun Wan is playing with each other.Terengganu sole representative Norazma Adilla Alias currently with 1.5 from 5 games.

MALAYSIAN CLOSED CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2008

After four rounds of play 3 players are currently leading the tournament with 3 points each.Ismail Ahmad currently playing with Leong Mun Wan on the first board,youngster Tan Ken Wei is facing experienced Abdullah Che Hassan on board two.72 players are currently playing in this annual event ,the winner of this event is expected to represent Malaysia in the chess olympiad due to held in Germany.In the women section NMM Nurul Huda Wahidduddin is playing with Alia Azwa Anin Bakri on the 1st board, both players have 3 points each.While Terengganu Norazma Alias with 1.5 points.This event is expected to finish on 4th June.

ANAS IS THE CHAMP

Anas Nazreen Bakri was declare the winner MSSM under 18 boys category base on superior tie break.Meanwhile 2 Terengganu junior players who were leading the tournament right from the start could only managed to secure second and third place respectively.Both Mohd Syazwan and Abdul Kadir Jailani equally scored 5.5 with the eventual winner but their tie break let them down.This is the best achievement sor far yet from any Terengganu junior players in MSSM so for.In under 12 boy category Mohd Huzaimi could only managed 6th place and in under 18 girl Siti Nur Raihan only finished 8th place.Terengganu also won gold best board medal in under 12 girl team event.For the most of the players in the Terengganu team ,the conclusion is that they are just passenger in the boat and that goes to the "coaches" also.Full result will be publish later.Congratulation to Kadir and Syazwan, Huzaimi ,Raihan and Siti Asiah.

KADIR AND SYAZWAN LEADING THE PACK

Two Terengganu under 18 boys currently is leading in the under 18 category.Each players scored 4 points from four round.Yesterday Syazwan beat last year champion Anas Nazreen with black pieces with his favourite Dutch Opening.While Kadir winning his losing game with Kuashal.This morning both players beat their respective opponents to lead the 32 players field.Tomorrow morning they will meet with each other in the fifth round.With two more round to go anything could happened possibility of gold medal is quite clear.

TERENGGANU PLAYERS IN MSSM

Terengganu contingent for Pesta Catur MSSM will leave for Melaka tomorrow morning.Thirty three players will took part in 6 category event.The team consisting new and experiend players will post a very strong challenge in under 12 category boys and girl and also in under 15 event.MSST also line up Abd Kadir Jailani and Syazwan Zulkifli to play in the team event.Last years only a handful Terengganu players were able to finish among top ten winner.

MASUM GAMES IN UNIMAS

Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UDM) chess players are now in Sabah to take part Masum games.The team arrived this morning from after departing from LCCT.The tournament will start on 23rd to 25th May.The players who qualified to represent UDM are Azrul, Razif and two women players Najwah and Masitah.The team is accompany by Hashim Jusoh who is acting as team manager.

PENCARIAN JAGUH CATUR TERENGGANU

After a slight delay Pencarian Jaguh Catur Terengganu will start the first of the five series on 13 th to 14th June at Pusat Dagangan Terengganu (TTC).A total of two hundred forty participant from eight district is expected to take part in this event.This event will be divided into three category open , under 18 and under 12 and total prize money RM5000.00.With four more event to go and plus grand final on Disember which will offer total prize money RM30,000.This event is supported by Pusat Minda and Terengganu State Government.

MSSM TERENGGANU RESULT

MSSM Terengganu ended today at SMK Kompleks Seberang Takir at Kuala Terengganu.Overall title clinched by Dungun again merely by one silver medal different.Kuala Terengganu Selatan lack experiend players in under 15 categorie.

However the final result of the tournament as per expectation whereby almost last year winner retained the title except Nurliyana Zulkifli finished finished second in under 12 girl.Most of the winner from this tournament is expected to finish among the strong contender in MSSM in Melaka end of this month.Terengganu is expected to put strong challenge in Under 12 girl and boy , under 15 boys , under 18 boys and girls.Possiblity of gold medal is there if the players keep their composure.

PESTA CATUR MSSM TERENGGANU

Kejohanan catur Majlis Sukan Sekolah Sekolah Terengganu akan bermula pada 8hb hingga 10hb Mei 2008 bertempat di SMK Kompleks Seberang Takir.Seramai 200 peserta dari semua daerah Terengganu akan bertanding dalam 6 kategori penyertaan iaitu bawah 12 tahun lelaki dan perempuan ,bawah 15 tahun dan bawah 18 tahun.Selain daripada acara individu ,acara berpasukan juga akan dipertandingkan.6 pemenang setiap kategori akan terpilih untuk mewakili Terengganu dikejohanan peringkat Kebangsaan yang akan diadakan Ayer Keroh D Village Melaka penghujung bulan ini.

Pada kejohanan yang sama tahun lepas daerah Dungun telah muncul juara keseluruhan,walau bagaimana pun pada tahun ini Dungun menghadapi kesukaran untuk mempertahankan kejuaraan tersebut memandangkan ramai pemain telah melebihi usia persekolahan.Kuala Terengganu Selatan dijangka memenangi sekurang kurang tiga acara individu dan satu acara berpasukan.Acara bawah 18 tahun lelaki dan perempuan hampir pasti dimenangi oleh Siti Nur Raihan dan Md Syazwan Zulkifli dan acara bawah tahun lelaki juga dijangka dimenangi oleh Md Huzaimi Abd Jalal.ketiga tiga pemain tersebut telah berjaya mencapai kedudukan sepuloh terbaik dalam kejohanan peringkat Kebangsaan.

Bagi acara bawah 15 tahun lelaki , pemain dari Dungun dan Besut akan menentukan kejuaraan jika Sidek Husainy memilih untuk tidak bermain dalam kejohanan ini.Bagi acara bawah 12 tahun perempuan Nurliyana Zulkifli dari Dungun dijangka tidak menghadapi masalah untuk mempertahankan kejuaraannya berdasarkan prestasi semasa beliau.

Dari 200 orang peserta yang mengambil bahagian dalam kejohanan ini hanya SEBAHAGIAN KECIL sahaja yang mempunyai mempunyai teori permainan yang agak baik dan berupaya bertanding dengan pemain dari Kuala Lumpur, Selangor atau Pulau Pinang.Manakala lain lain pemain hanya sekadar untuk mendapat catatan dalam sijil berhenti sekolah mereka.,dalam hal ini sokongan keluarga adalah penting untuk membantu untuk memajukan acara yang diceburi anak anak masing masing.Guru guru telah dibebani dengan pelbagai tugas lain.

CHESS MSSM TERENGGANU

Tomorow at SMK Kompleks Seberang Takir Kuala Terengganu will starts Pesta Catur MSST.Nearly 200 students from all districts in Terengganu are expected to take part in this year event.Last year overall champion Dungun is fielding it strongest players to defence the title.This years they are expected to win under 12 girl individual and team event respectively.They are also expected to give Kuala Terengganu Selatan a good fight in under 12 boy category.In under 18 boy and under 18 girl Kuala Terengganu Selatan is expected to secure the individual title.Under 15 boy the tussle are between Dungun and Besut.This event is expected to end this Saturday.

KTS AND KTU CHESS RESULT

At SMK Sheikh Abd Malek all top juniors players qualify to represent KTS in the coming Terengganu Inter District tournament on 8th to 10th May 2008.Muhammad Syazwan ,Siti Nur Raihan and Muhammad Huzaimi among the top junior players in the country easily dominated the their respective categories.While at SMK Bukit Guntong (KTU) Sidek Husainy retained under 15 title he won last years by winning all 6 game.Majority of the players from this two districts reflect needs a proper training and exposure in order to improve every aspect.

TERENGGANU SCHOOL SPORTS COUNCIL EVENT

Today two districts started the the elimination proses to select players to represent Kuala Terengganu Utara(KTU) and Kuala Terengganu Selatan(KTS) for the state level event to be held early next month.In KTU nearly 200 players took part in the event who participate in 3 categories that is under 12 boy and girl , under 15 boy and girl and under 18 boy and girls.In KTS about 200 players taking part in the event.Last year winners are expected to dominate the event.Tomorow is the final day for KTS while KTU will ended on Wednesday.

SYAZWAN IN KL TOURNAMENT

Top Terengganu junior player Md Syazwan Zulkifli took part in chess event organise by Fadli Zakaria which ended today.He finished with 4.5 point out of 6 round and end up in 5th place.He lose one game to eventual winner Irfan Hakim.Last month Syazwan was the winner of Kuala Terengganu leg of Pencarian Jaguh Catur Terengganu.This week the MSST event will start at all districts, he and Abdul Kadir Jailani is expected to battle for first place in under 18 category.

PLAYING CHESS AT MYDIN MALL

Where do chess players gather to play chess in Kuala Terengganu ? I have been asked this question by lot of people from schoolboys to parent.Basically we don't have any specific place to play,many years ago Primula Hotel offer a place but it did not work out until recently when Mydin Mall was open then the ideas of playing chess in public place came to my mind.I think Mydin is the best place so far for players to meet and spend some time to play.The place is cool and crowded , yes the idea is to attract unknown chess players by chance.It is like to promote chess in public.Some of my chess friends think this is not a good idea.So what do you think ?

STILL NO NEWS FOR PENCARIAN JAGUH CATUR

Until today there is no development in Pencarian Jaguh Catur program as the Pusat Minda Terengganu (Mindcet) still waiting from top administration to continue the Program.Pencarian Jaguh Catur Terengganu was launched early Mac to find top local chess players.The program was very successful and numerous talented emerged from the it.More then 1000 players took part in the program.Your truly received a lot of enquiry from players schools and parents about the tournament.Let us all hope the program will continue in middle of May.This is for the sake and future of chess in Terengganu.

UDM SENDING PLAYERS IN MASUM GAMES

Universiti DarulIman Malaysia will sending 2 men and two women players to take part in MASUM games in Sabah on 3third week of May.This is the second time UDM will take part in chess event, last year the team finished last.The team will be accompany by Hashim Jusoh who also one of the paralimpic chess coach.Players who was selected to represented UDM are Mohd Azrul Aminul Rashid Abd Majid and Mohd Razif Mohd Abd Rahman ,Najwah Aziz and Mashitah Zainol Abidin.This year the team is expected to performed better then the previous year.
