WORLD JUNIOR U 20 UPDATE: ALL IN SPANISH

The world junior championship currently being held in Argentina a spanish speaking country.Except for basic infomation which is in english and the rest is in spanish.I also cannot find games from this championship.From my past experienced to read hand writting from different countries and continents are not an easy task.But luckily the organiser upload result to the chess result.At least we have something to do.

Here is current standing for boys and girls.

WORLD JUNIOR CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS U-20 2009

World junior chess championship for under 20 starts on 21st October until 4th November in Argentina.91 players from 46 countries are fighting for the conveted title.Vachier Lagrave Mazime of France is the 1st seeded player with FIDE rating 2718.Tournament 2nd seeded player is Andrekin Dmitry of Russia with FIDE rating 2659.Zhigalko Sergei of Belarus 2646 and ASEAN player Wesley So is seeded 4th with FIDE rating 2644.Magnus Calsen is not playing in this tournament although he is still eligible to play.


In girl section 55 players from 35 countries will be playing and India's WGM Mary Ann Gomes FIDE rating of 2396 is seeded first.China Zhang Xiaowen is seeded second with FIDE rating of 2391

Asean powerhouse Vietnam and Indonesia didnt send their representative in this event.


Tournament facf : 38 GM in boy section and 5 WGM in girl section
: 14 IM in boy section and 16 IWM in girl section
: 13 FM in boy section and 6 WFM in girl section
: 1 CM in boy section.

DUNGUN OPEN : DAY TWO UPDATE

Second day of Dungun,Mohd Khair Wahiduddin is leading the tournament with 4.5 points after beating teammate Abdul Kahlid Musa.His will playing with local player Abdul Rahim Ramli.On the second board Ruzenan Abu Bakar losing to Mohd Khair and will play with Abdul Khalid on the second board.Below is the current standing of the tournament .Round seven will start at 3.00 pm
