TERENGGANU JUNIORS WILL PLAY IN NASTIONAL AGE GROUP

About 10 juniors players will be playing in the Nastional Age Group that will be held in Pearl Point in Jalan Klanag Lama Kuala Lumpur.They will be leading by Mohd Amirul Zahanuddin and Mohd Khairul Nazrin both will be playing in under 16.Siti Aisyah Sabirin also will be playing in under 12 girl and she will be put up a strong challenge in her category.In MSSM last month Siti Aisyah finished 5 place.Good luck to all of them.

Nor Ilhamuddin Shaikh Ali officially no 1 ranked Terengganu player 2025

Mohd Hafez Hilmi Harun 1994 now ranked second in Terengganu

Munir Azmi Mohd ranked 3 with 1720

Topalov is now the world no 1 chess player with a rating of 2812 with 29 points different from Anand who has 2783.Topalov who played 17 rated games for April rating period.More Malaysia are rated including Munir Azmi Mohd with 1720 and my former padawan Mohd Hafez Hilmi Harun with 1994.The first Terengganu player who gained FIDE rating is Nor Ilhamuddin Shaik Ali with 2025 .

Internasional Master Mas Hafizul Hilmi now ranked no 1 in Malaysia with a rating of 2425.He is followed by Internasional Master Wong Zi Jing with 2410 .Third in the april listing is Nicholas Chan with 2386.Full details here

Hopefully more Malaysian will gain rating and I hope a few more Terengganu players will gain rating by next January listing.

About 110 players currently are playing in the first chess tournament for this year in Kelantan.In the open section Abdullah Che Hassan is leading other players with 3 points by winning his first 3 rounds.Abdullah who won two chess tournament back to back in the 2 weeks is clear favourite to win this event.But he will be challenges strongly by Nik Ahmad Farouqui the second seeded player who won an event last week.In Under 18 gold medalist in in under 15 MSSM team player Laila Husna Sahadi is favourite to win this category.
